Focus and Scope

Vifada Assumption Journal of Law is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality legal scholarship that contributes to global and national sustainable development. The journal aims to encourage critical discussion and innovative research that addresses contemporary legal issues, which are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations and Indonesia's national development agenda. We narrowed down the focus areas as follows: Human Rights; Environmental Policy; Legal Reform and Economic Development; Health Law; Gender Empowerment and Equality; Policy in the Development of Indigenous Peoples.

The journal welcomes interdisciplinary and comparative legal studies that critically engage with legal theory, policy analysis, case studies, and legislative developments. Contributions may explore international, regional, and national legal perspectives, with a special emphasis on Indonesia’s legal landscape and its intersection with global sustainable development efforts.

The Vifada Assumption Journal of Law encourages submissions from academics, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to build a scholarly platform that bridges law and sustainable development for a more just, equitable, and sustainable future.
