Peer Review Process
Vifada Management and Digital Business applies a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of manuscripts submitted for publication.
The journal publishes scholarly works in the areas of management, business, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, innovation, organizational development, and technology-enabled business. Each manuscript is evaluated through a structured editorial and peer-review workflow before a final publication decision is made.
Review Model
The journal applies a double-anonymous peer review model, commonly referred to as double-blind peer review. Under this model, the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential during the review process.
This approach is intended to minimize potential bias and promote an objective evaluation based primarily on the manuscript's scientific merit, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
Peer Review Workflow
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Submissions must comply with the journal's author guidelines, manuscript template, ethical standards, and publication policies.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment before the manuscript is forwarded to reviewers. The screening includes:
- Alignment with the journal's aims and scope;
- Originality and relevance of the research topic;
- Academic structure and clarity of presentation;
- Methodological appropriateness;
- Compliance with manuscript formatting requirements;
- Adequacy and relevance of references;
- Similarity and plagiarism screening.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic editorial requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected without external review.
3. Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that successfully pass the editorial screening are assigned to independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area of the manuscript. Whenever possible, at least two reviewers are invited to provide an independent academic evaluation.
4. Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several academic criteria, including:
- Originality and novelty of the study;
- Theoretical and practical contribution;
- Research design and methodological rigor;
- Quality of data analysis and interpretation;
- Clarity and coherence of the discussion;
- Relevance to management, business, or digital transformation;
- Quality and currency of supporting references;
- Research ethics and citation integrity.
Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, objective, and academically relevant recommendations to support the improvement of the manuscript.
5. Reviewer Recommendation
After completing the evaluation, reviewers may recommend one of the following decisions:
- Accept Submission;
- Revisions Required;
- Resubmit for Review;
- Decline Submission.
Reviewer recommendations serve as an important basis for editorial decision-making but do not automatically determine the final decision.
6. Author Revision
When revisions are required, reviewer comments are communicated to the corresponding author. Authors are expected to revise the manuscript carefully and provide a clear response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers when additional evaluation is considered necessary.
7. Editorial Decision
The editor evaluates the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript, and the authors' responses before determining the editorial decision.
The editor may accept the manuscript, request further revision, return it for additional peer review, or reject the manuscript when substantive concerns remain unresolved.
8. Final Acceptance and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage, including copyediting, layout preparation, metadata checking, author proofing, and DOI registration before online publication.
Principles of Peer Review
Manuscripts and review information must be treated as confidential throughout the evaluation process.
Reviews should focus on academic quality and scientific merit rather than personal considerations.
Reviewers should identify potential ethical, methodological, citation, or originality concerns.
Reviewer feedback should be clear, respectful, specific, and useful for improving the manuscript.
